Many members of the Church, especially those whom I have met who tend to sympathize and side with the liberal mindset, are constantly saying that we should not judge.
The fact of the matter is, there is a very big difference between judging and defending the gospel.
Christ NEVER condoned sin, but condemned it, many times very publicly and on at least one occasion (overthrowing the money changers tables and cleansing the temple) even violently.
We should not judge somebody because of their sins or imperfections, but we should NEVER accept or condone the sin which was committed. God will judge, but we've been sent here to defend and fight for the gospel of Christ.
You cannot sit on the sidelines and pretend like everything is fine. "Live and let live" has no part in the gospel or in the eternal scheme of things.
We have been sent to this earth to be a light on a hill. A light doesn't dim itself out because the public opinion says it should. A light on a hill shines brightly so that all can see and come unto it. If you support liberal ideals and beliefs such as gay marriage, abortion, or any other liberal belief which has specifically been condemned by God, then you are not a light on a hill, but just another ship lost at sea.
Conference really got to me this past weekend. It was so good and I feel so refreshed after watching our prophets speak to us. Sometimes I get so confused in my opinion on things, and as a woman I tend to have more sympathy on certain matters. But in actuality these are the last days and we can't be sitting on the fence. The church is 100% black or white, there is no gray. Since becoming married and with the idea of creating a family someday, it is my goal to take the time now to study and become stronger in my testimony. Somethings may be difficult for others to hear, but when I think about raising my kids someday and the responsibility that entails, I want them to know with out a doubt what things are true and good and right.
No matter what anyone else says.
The leaves were amazing this weekend!
