I am so excited for this warm weather we've been having! This past weekend was amazing, not because we did anything in particular that was amazing, but when the sun is shining it seems to make everything PERFECT! Friday night we headed up to the cabin and just had a relaxing night watching some good movies. Saturday morning Jason was DYING to go hunting and shoot himself a coyote and I decided to come along. I normally am not a big fan of tagging along with him because I don't want to see any animal in pain, but Jason gets so excited to go and he loves when I come with him it's hard to turn his cute face down.
We drove up the mountain quite a ways in the Ranger (aka Sally) but eventually the soft melting snow stopped us in our tracks. Instead of turning around I suggested that we hike the rest of the way (notice me being a real trooper here).
We finally got to a good location and I found myself a good bush to hid behind. Then Jason started doing his "dying rabbit" call. I don't know if any of you have heard this call but it is pretty obnoxious. Jason told me to keep an eye out for any movement and I was actually really into it.
No kidding not 5 minutes later I see these two pointed ears poking out behind some bushes about 100 yards away. I turned to Jason, pointed and said " oh my gosh, he's right there!" One shot later = a dead Coyote.
I started crying.
Jason was jumping up and down and giving me high fives and shouting " good eye babe!" He hadn't seen the coyote at all, so if it hadn't been for me our mission wouldn't have been a successful one, I'm just sayin'.
WARNING! these pics involve blood and a cute little furry animal.
Let it be noted I was FORCED to take that picture, hence my sad face.
We then spent the day relaxing on the deck reading and catching some much need sun!
It was such a beautiful day and the lake was pure glass! Gets me so excited for summer and boating!
We met some friends from Jason's work at Cafe Sabor and had a great time visiting with them! We ended the night with some hot tubbin' and the disappointing Jazz game, hopefully they can get a win next time! All in all it was great weekend!.... Now on to some other important news.... This girl turned 16 yesterday! I cannot believe my baby sis is growing up! She is seriously the sweetest most beautiful girl I know! I love you Rebecca, Happy Birthday!!
